If you ask most people what they use to listen to music, I bet they say Spotify. This platform has become one of the largest ways we consume music but many artists are frustrated with what they get in return.
I understand both sides to this argument. My main point on Spotify is how it has made music so accessible. Sure, I don't think making pennies is the best business practice for any independent artist. It's hard to argue with that, but it is also amazing how someone can find new music with a click of a button. I've found dozens of artists this way and my way of giving back is all my social media and this website. Not everyone does this obviously, but if it gets someone to attend a show or buy a shirt, that's a great start.
Just a Massachusetts guy supporting Texas and other independent country/Americana artists.
